Accessibility.
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Here is what has actually been checked, and how to tell us when something is not working.
We build accessibility in rather than auditing it at the end, because the fixes are cheap while the markup is still being written and expensive afterwards.
What has been checked
- Every text colour measured against its background for the 4.5:1 contrast minimum, arithmetically rather than by eye.
- One h1 per page and no skipped heading levels, so the document outline is navigable.
- All content inside landmarks; decorative chrome hidden from assistive technology.
- Keyboard operation throughout, including the menu, with visible focus indicators.
- Automated testing with axe-core on every page type, not only the home page.
- Animation reduced or removed when your system asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
Automated testing catches a minority of accessibility problems. If something here does not work with your assistive technology, that is a defect and we want to hear about it.
